FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition is a role-playing game from SQUARE ENIX, released for Nintendo Switch in 2020. It follows a caravan from Tipa as they travel beyond their town in search of Myrrh, a resource needed to renew the crystal that keeps lethal miasma away.

The journey takes players through hazardous areas inhabited by monsters and introduces the Clavats, Lilties, Yukes, and Selkies. Beneath its colorful fantasy setting is a world whose settlements depend on magical crystals for survival.

Caravan combat and exploration

Action unfolds in real time, combining direct attacks, spellcasting, and environmental exploration. Dungeons hold enemies, bosses, materials, chests, and artifacts that can improve a character’s capabilities. Equipment can be forged from gathered materials, while different Magicite types can be combined to create stronger fusion spells.

The Crystal Chalice

Miasma makes the Crystal Chalice central to every expedition. Its protective radius creates a safe area while the caravan explores dangerous locations, so its position must be managed carefully during travel and combat. A Moogle can carry the chalice and support the group on its route.

Solo or cooperative journeys

Players can choose from four races with distinct appearances and abilities, then customize a hero for the caravan. The remastered edition also supports online multiplayer, allowing friends to travel together, coordinate attacks and spells, and share responsibility for protecting the chalice.
