04 About Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is an action role-playing and strategy game set in Fódlan. Released for Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022, it presents an alternate path through the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Players take the role of Shez, a mercenary whose meeting with the three future leaders of Fódlan changes the course of events. By joining one of the three great houses, players experience diverging conflicts, alliances, and perspectives on the continent's history.

Warriors action with tactical control

Battles blend Musou-style combat with Fire Emblem strategy. Players directly control characters to defeat large groups of enemies with combos, special abilities, Awakening attacks, and Warrior Specials, while also giving real-time orders to allied units across the battlefield. Capturing strongholds and confronting enemy commanders can help shift the momentum of a mission.

Weapon Triangle and character development

The Weapon Triangle remains important when choosing targets and positioning units, offering advantages against particular enemy types. Characters can take on different classes, equip abilities and combat arts, and upgrade weapons to shape the army around different approaches to combat.

Base camp preparation

Between missions, the base camp provides opportunities to train units, build relationships with allies, and unlock support conversations. Character bonds, quests, optional battles, and side missions offer ways to prepare for upcoming encounters and strengthen the available roster.
