Friday the 13th The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition brings the Camp Crystal Lake setting to Nintendo Switch. Released on August 13, 2019, it is an action-focused multiplayer horror game developed by Black Tower Studios and published by Gun Media.

Matches create their own survival scenarios rather than following a linear campaign. One player becomes Jason Voorhees, while the remaining players take the roles of teenage counselors trying to endure the night and find a way out.

Asymmetrical Camp Crystal Lake Horror

The central format is a 1-versus-7 contest for up to eight players. Jason pursues the counselors with supernatural tracking and movement abilities, while counselors search the map for weapons, tools, and supplies. Their individual strengths and weaknesses can shape how they approach a match.

Escape Plans and Survival

Counselors can cooperate on several possible escape routes, including repairing a car or boat and contacting the police. Stealth, scavenging, and communication are important as Jason becomes more dangerous over the course of a round. Counselors may also attempt to defeat him, though survival remains the primary goal.

Different Takes on Jason

The game includes multiple versions of Jason Voorhees with distinct advantages. His abilities include Shift, Morph, and Sense, letting him move across the map, surprise targets, and locate counselors. Campers can use hiding places and teamwork to avoid his pursuit.
