Front Mission 1st: Remake is a strategy role-playing game from Forever Entertainment, released for Nintendo Switch on November 30, 2022. It revisits the conflict between the Oceania Cooperative Union and the Republic of Zaftra on Huffman Island in 2090.

Players follow OCU wanzer pilot Royd Clive after a disastrous operation involving his fiancée, Karen. His search for answers unfolds against a backdrop of military conflict, political intrigue, betrayal, and the human cost of war.

Tactical Wanzer Battles

Combat uses turn-based encounters on grid-based maps, with players commanding a squad of bipedal combat machines known as Wanzers. Positioning, unit coordination, and enemy strengths all shape the outcome of each mission. Objectives can include defeating opposing forces or protecting allied units.

Customizable Machines

Wanzers can be adjusted with different bodies, arms, legs, armor, and weapons. These choices affect how each machine performs in battle, allowing squads to be tailored around melee, short-range, or long-range roles. Players can acquire additional Wanzers and parts between missions.

Targeting and Pilot Growth

Battles allow attacks against individual enemy components, including limbs, weapons, and the main body. Damaging legs can limit movement, while destroying arms can prevent enemies from using their equipment. Pilots gain experience and develop skills through combat, adding another layer to squad planning.
