Hellboy Web of Wyrd is an action-adventure roguelite set in Mike Mignola’s Hellboy universe. When BPRD agents disappear while investigating unusual events at the Butterfly House, Hellboy is sent inside to locate them and uncover the danger hidden within.

The mansion is an unstable gateway to the Wyrd, a realm inhabited by grotesque creatures and cosmic horrors. Its shifting rooms reveal new threats and pieces of a larger mystery as Hellboy works to stop the Wyrd from reaching the outside world.

Roguelite exploration

Every attempt through the Butterfly House can feature different dungeon layouts, enemy placements, and item drops. Defeat is part of the progression structure, with permanent upgrades available alongside temporary buffs that can strengthen Hellboy during an individual run.

Combat and equipment

Hellboy fights with the Right Hand of Doom, ranged weapons, demonic charms, and abilities. Battles call for melee combinations as well as careful blocks, parries, and dodges. Environmental hazards can also be used against enemies, while limited ammunition and healing resources add another consideration to each encounter.

Comic-inspired presentation

The game draws on the grim, gothic atmosphere and distinctive visual style associated with Mike Mignola’s comics. Hellboy is voiced by Lance Reddick, and the journey includes formidable boss encounters against the horrors found within the Wyrd.
