HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED

04 About HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED

HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED brings die-cast vehicles into fast arcade races built around drifting, boosts, jumps, loops, and shortcuts. Tracks run through imaginative locations such as garages and skate parks, with interactive surroundings and special modules adding hazards and spectacle.

Developed and published by Milestone, this Nintendo Switch release arrived on September 30, 2021. It supports English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Portuguese.

Hot Wheels City Rumble

The main progression mode is Hot Wheels City Rumble. Players advance across a city map, take on bosses with their own race conditions and challenges, and unlock cars, cosmetic items, and track modules. Races can also contain hidden areas, shortcuts, and gears that provide bonus rewards.

Arcade Racing and Vehicles

Racing focuses on learning each vehicle's handling, speed, and boost characteristics. Drifting can build boost, while careful boost use, track knowledge, ramps, and boost pads can help maintain an advantage. Loops and anti-gravity sections reward keeping up enough speed to stay on course.

Customization and Track Building

Cars can be personalized with paint jobs, decals, liveries, and other cosmetic upgrades. The Track Editor allows players to assemble custom courses piece by piece using available modules, creating new routes for the game's vehicle collection.

Competition Options

HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED includes split-screen multiplayer for racing with friends as well as online races against other players.
