Hyrule Warriors : Definitive Edition

04 About Hyrule Warriors : Definitive Edition

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a hack-and-slash game developed by Koei Tecmo and published by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch. It brings The Legend of Zelda characters, enemies, and locations into fast-paced battles against large forces.

The story begins as the sorceress Cia opens portals that draw figures from different eras together. Link, Zelda, Impa, and their allies fight to restore order across Hyrule while confronting enemies and threats from throughout the Zelda universe.

Large-scale battles

Players fight through armies using character-specific weapons, combos, magic, and special attacks. Battles also require attention to objectives, including capturing keeps, protecting allies, and defeating commanders to gain control of the field.

Heroes and challenges

The roster includes more than 29 playable characters, such as Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, with varied fighting styles and weapon options. Familiar foes including Bokoblins and bosses such as King Dodongo appear during the campaign and missions.

Definitive content

This edition combines content from the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases. Adventure Mode presents a grid-based map with hundreds of challenges and unlockable rewards, while materials and rupees can be used to improve characters and strengthen weapons. Local cooperative play lets two players take on battles together.
