Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a Nintendo Switch party platformer released on August 17, 2022. After wishing for more cake, Kirby is shrunk down and enters a gourmet competition with one simple aim: become the biggest Kirby by the final event.

Players roll across dessert-themed courses, gather strawberries to grow, and compete through races, mini-games, and arena battles. Its lighthearted premise keeps the focus on fast, food-filled competition.

Dessert Course Competition

Matches unfold over several stages. Race rounds challenge players to reach the finish while collecting strawberries and power-ups, while mini-games offer short challenges centered on gathering more fruit or knocking rivals from platforms. The final battle royale rewards the Kirby that can hold onto the biggest advantage.

Growing and Using Abilities

Strawberries increase Kirby’s size, which improves downhill momentum and helps larger competitors shove smaller ones aside. Food-themed Copy Food Abilities add temporary advantages during courses and battles, including options for speed, barriers, and smashing through obstacles.

Four-Player Party Action

Up to four players can join locally on one console or online. Currency earned through play can be used to unlock additional Kirby colors, costumes, and character treats for a more personalized appearance.

Developed and published by Nintendo, Kirby’s Dream Buffet is available in Europe, the USA, Asia, and Japan, with language support including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, and Chinese.
