Legend of Mana is a remastered action role-playing game from Square Enix set in the fractured world of Fa'Diel. Beginning near the town of Domina, players restore the land by placing artifacts on an empty map, creating new locations and opening their associated quests.

Rather than following one linear campaign, the adventure is built from interconnected tales involving unusual characters, ancient spirits, the Jumi, and conflicts between different races. Its episodic structure leaves room to explore the world and uncover its lore at an individual pace.

Build the world of Fa'Diel

The Land Make system is central to the experience. Artifacts generate towns, dungeons, and other landscapes when placed on the map, while their position can affect available quests, difficulty, elemental levels, events, and monster rewards. Each new land adds another piece to the world and its stories.

Real-time action and customization

Battles play out in real time, with weapons such as swords and axes alongside magic, combos, and special moves. Materials gathered from enemies and the environment can be used to craft weapons and armor. Players can also hatch and raise pets for battle, create customizable golems, and develop their home through activities including crop growing and equipment forging.

Remastered presentation

This Nintendo Switch release features improved visuals and a re-recorded orchestral soundtrack, while also allowing players to select the classic music. A New Game+ option carries certain elements into another playthrough, supporting further exploration of the game's branching questlines.
