Lost in Random is an action-adventure game released for Nintendo Switch on September 10, 2021. Published by Electronic Arts, it follows Even, a girl from the impoverished district of Onecroft, after her sister Odd is taken to Sixtopia by the Queen of Random.

In this kingdom, every child’s future is determined by a dice roll at age twelve, assigning them to one of six districts. Even sets out across the realm to find Odd, accompanied by Dicey, a sentient dice whose kind has been outlawed.

A kingdom ruled by chance

The journey takes Even through the six distinctive districts of Random, a strange world shaped by a grim, gothic fairytale style. Along the way, she meets eccentric inhabitants, investigates the secrets behind the missing dice, and challenges the Queen’s control over the kingdom’s fate.

Action and tactical card combat

Combat combines real-time movement with a card-based system. Even can dodge attacks and gather energy crystals from enemies. Once Dicey is charged, rolling him produces cards that can be used for attacks, traps, companions, and other abilities. Choosing when to roll, play cards, and move around the battlefield adds strategy to encounters.

Exploration and puzzles

Outside battle, Lost in Random focuses on exploring unusual environments, speaking with characters, uncovering secrets, and solving environmental puzzles. Cards can be collected and improved, allowing players to adjust their available options as Even and Dicey continue their search for Odd.
