Maneater is an action role-playing game from Tripwire Interactive for Nintendo Switch. Players control a bull shark pup whose mother is killed by the hunter Scaly Pete, beginning a struggle for survival that becomes a revenge-driven hunt.

The shark develops from a vulnerable young predator into a powerful adult by feeding, gaining experience, and evolving. Its story uses dark humor and mockumentary-style narration while following the pursuit of Scaly Pete.

Grow into a predator

Eating fish, turtles, humans, and other available prey provides nutrients for growth and evolution. New levels and abilities make the shark larger and more formidable, while mutations can alter both its capabilities and appearance.

Mutations and combat

Players can equip mutations such as bone armor and bio-electric teeth to suit different threats. Combat pits the shark against marine predators and human bounty hunters, with powerful jaws and upgraded traits supporting increasingly dangerous encounters.

Explore the waters

The game world is divided into seven regions, ranging from murky swamps to busy resorts. Each area has its own ecosystem, prey, hazards, secrets, and challenges as the shark works toward confronting Scaly Pete.
