Mario Golf: Super Rush is a Nintendo Switch sports game developed by Camelot and published by Nintendo. Released on June 25, 2021, it combines traditional golf strategy with Mario characters, special abilities, and competitive multiplayer-focused play.

Players account for club choice, shot power, timing, wind, terrain, and the shape of the greens. Optional motion controls let players swing using Joy-Con movements, while standard controls provide another way to approach each shot.

Golf modes

Standard Golf offers classic formats including stroke play, match play, and point play, with an emphasis on accurate shots and course management. Speed Golf changes the pace by having golfers race across the course after each stroke, collecting coins and power-ups while managing stamina. Battle Golf takes place in an arena-style setting where players compete to claim open cups.

Adventure Mode

Adventure Mode follows a player-created Mii attending a golf academy. The Mii trains through challenges and tournaments, earns experience, and improves attributes such as power, stamina, and control. Familiar Mario characters appear during this progression, while the mode introduces golf mechanics and more advanced techniques.

Shots and course strategy

Character-specific Special Shots and Special Dashes add another element to play, particularly during faster competitive modes. Successful rounds also depend on reading wind and slopes, selecting suitable clubs, and using topspin or backspin to influence how the ball travels and stops after landing.
