Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection gathers ten mainline adventures centered on Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE. Set in a future where people connect to a vast digital world through PET devices, the series follows their efforts to confront rogue viruses and cyber-terrorist threats.

Released for Nintendo Switch on April 14, 2023, this CAPCOM collection combines action and role-playing across stories involving new characters, rival NetNavis, conspiracies, and escalating dangers in both the real and online worlds.

Real-Time Tactical NetBattles

Combat blends quick movement with careful planning on a 3×6 battle grid. Players guide MegaMan.EXE around incoming attacks while selecting Battle Chips from a customized folder. Chip effects range from direct attacks to defensive and support options, and specific chip combinations can activate powerful Program Advances.

Explore Two Connected Worlds

Outside battles, Lan can speak with people, investigate locations, and solve puzzles. Jacking into the network opens cyber-dungeons filled with viruses, secrets, and boss encounters. Later games add systems such as Style Changes and Souls, giving MegaMan.EXE temporary abilities and elemental powers.

Collection Features and Modes

The collection includes an art gallery with character sketches and music, along with a high-resolution filter. It supports Handheld, Tabletop, and TV play. Multiplayer options include single-system play for one player, plus local wireless and online play for up to two players.
