Chess is a Nintendo DS version of the enduring strategy board game played on an eight-by-eight grid. Players command opposing sets of pieces, using movement, positioning, and tactical planning to threaten the enemy king.

This release is the United States English version of Chess for Nintendo DS.

Classic Board Strategy

The game is based on traditional chess rules: each side takes turns moving its pieces, with every unit offering distinct movement options. Winning depends on protecting your own king while creating a checkmate against your opponent.
