Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an action-adventure game developed by Moon Studios and published by iam8bit for Nintendo Switch. Released on September 17, 2020, it continues Ori’s journey after the events of Ori and the Blind Forest.

Ori, Naru, and Gumo care for Ku, a young owl with an injured wing. After Ori helps Ku fly, a storm separates them and leaves Ori in Niwen, a land threatened by decay. Ori must seek a way to restore the land’s light while searching for Ku.

Explore the land of Niwen

Niwen is an interconnected world with distinct environments, hidden routes, secrets, collectibles, and areas that become accessible as Ori gains new powers. Friendly characters offer side quests, while exploration reveals more of the land and its ancient mysteries.

Platforming and combat

The game combines precise platforming with acrobatic movement such as leaps, dashes, and wall-jumps. Ori can gain active and passive abilities for traversal and combat, using light, heavy, and ranged spirit weapons against enemies and major boss encounters.

Build Ori’s abilities

Progression includes experience, a skill tree, and Spirit Shards that can alter Ori’s strengths. Shards provide different perks, allowing players to adjust their approach to exploration, defense, damage, and movement challenges.
