Outlast 2 follows investigative journalist Blake Langermann after a helicopter crash separates him from his wife, Lynn, in the Arizona desert. While investigating a mysterious death, Blake is drawn into an isolated community ruled by a fanatical religious cult.

The search for Lynn leads through a bleak and disorienting nightmare shaped by disturbing rituals, persecution, and uncertainty over what is real. Themes of faith, corruption, and deteriorating sanity run through Blake's journey.

Survive Without Fighting

Blake has no means to fight his pursuers. Survival depends on avoiding danger, fleeing when discovered, and using hiding places such as lockers, tall grass, and spaces beneath objects. Enemies are dangerous and often stronger or faster, making observation and timing essential.
