Paper Mario: The Origami King is an action-adventure game from Nintendo, released for Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2020. When King Olly transforms Princess Peach's castle and seeks to refold the world, Mario sets out with Olivia, Olly's sister, to stop him.

Their quest centers on destroying five enormous streamers connected to Peach's Castle. The journey spans varied regions, introduces hidden Toads and unusual allies, and uses witty dialogue and unexpected turns to carry the adventure forward.

Ring-Based Battles

Combat uses a turn-based ring system built around positioning enemies. Players rotate and slide rings to line up foes, creating stronger opportunities to attack. Boss encounters also use ring puzzles, asking for strategy beyond ordinary battles.

Exploration and Puzzle Tools

Exploration is a major part of the journey, with secrets, collectibles, environmental puzzles, and crumpled Toads to find. Mario's 1,000-Fold Arms let him manipulate parts of the world, uncover hidden paths, and interact with obstacles in distinctive ways.
