Raji: An Ancient Epic is an adventure game from Super.com, released for Nintendo Switch on August 18, 2020. Set against a vision of ancient India inspired by Hindu mythology, it follows Raji, a young circus performer drawn into a conflict between humanity, gods, and returning demons.

After demons abduct her younger brother Golu, Raji is chosen by the gods to pursue them. Guided by Lord Vishnu and Goddess Durga, she travels through fortresses and mystical locations, confronting monstrous foes and demon lords while seeking to restore balance.

Movement and exploration

Presented from an isometric perspective, the adventure combines environmental navigation with platforming challenges. Raji can wall-run, leap across gaps, swing from poles, and use her agility to move through obstacle-filled areas. Exploration also involves interacting with the environment, finding hidden routes, and solving traversal-based puzzles.

Divine combat

Raji battles demonic enemies with divine weapons that carry distinct properties and can be changed during combat. Elemental blessings expand her offensive and defensive options, while dodges, parries, and counterattacks help her handle dangerous encounters. The journey includes varied mythological creatures as well as major boss battles.

Ancient Indian inspiration

Hand-painted environments draw from ancient Indian art, while lore elements and the central conflict incorporate stories from Hindu mythology. As Raji advances, her personal mission to rescue Golu develops alongside her role as a warrior chosen to oppose the invasion.
