Rayman Legends Definitive Edition is a 2D action-platformer from Ubisoft, released for Nintendo Switch in 2017. Rayman, Globox, and their allies enter magical paintings to confront spreading nightmares, free captured Teensies and princesses, and restore the Glade of Dreams.

The adventure combines running, jumping, punching, hovering, and wall-jumping across vividly illustrated worlds. Players collect Lums, search for concealed Teensies, overcome environmental puzzles, and face bosses that demand careful timing and observation.

Platforming Across Painted Worlds

Each painting leads to a distinct setting with its own hazards, visual style, and gameplay ideas. The game includes hundreds of levels, including reworked stages from Rayman Origins, alongside fast-paced musical courses where actions synchronize with the soundtrack. Hidden routes, breakable walls, and collectibles encourage revisiting completed stages.

Local Team Play and Challenges

Up to four players can play together locally, cooperating to clear obstacles, revive fallen teammates, and gather collectibles. The slap action can be used to assist companions or disrupt them playfully. Daily and weekly online challenges offer additional score-focused tests, while Kung Foot presents a football-themed mini-game.

Characters and Switch Features

Playable characters include Rayman, Globox, Barbara, and Teensies, all sharing the same essential abilities. The Nintendo Switch edition also uses Murfy-focused touch-screen actions where applicable, adding another way to interact with certain situations.
