04 About Rune Factory 5

Rune Factory 5 is an action role-playing game set in Rigbarth, where the player awakens with no memory of their past. They join SEED, a peacekeeping organization, and take on the role of a ranger protecting the town from mysterious incidents and monster threats.

Daily life balances quiet routines with exploration and combat. Players can cultivate crops, raise monsters, fish, forge equipment, visit dungeons, and spend time with Rigbarth’s residents while pursuing the secrets surrounding their identity.

Life in Rigbarth

Farming and ranching form a central part of the experience. Fields can be tended for crops, while tamed monsters may assist with farm work or accompany the player beyond town. Seasonal festivals and local events add opportunities to engage with the community.

Battles and crafting

Real-time encounters pit the player against monsters using a range of weapon types, combat approaches, and special attacks. Materials gathered through farming and dungeon exploration can be used to make and improve weapons, tools, armor, and accessories for tougher challenges.

Friends, romance, and requests

Rigbarth is home to bachelors and bachelorettes who can become friends or romantic partners, with marriage and starting a family available as relationships develop. Villager requests offer rewards and can open further items or story content, while regular conversations help strengthen these bonds.
