Sifu

04 About Sifu

Sifu is an action fighting game from developer and publisher SLOCLAP, released for Nintendo Switch on November 8, 2022. It follows a young kung fu student seeking vengeance against the five martial artists responsible for their family's death.

The pursuit is shaped by a magical talisman that revives the protagonist after defeat. Each resurrection makes them older, exchanging some vitality for greater strength and experience as they continue toward the truth behind the tragedy.

Precision Kung Fu Combat

Combat centers on quick strikes, powerful kicks, dodges, parries, and carefully timed counters. Success depends on reading opponents, learning their attack patterns, and using precise defense to create openings for combinations. Different enemy types and bosses test reflexes and tactical decision-making.

Age, Growth, and Persistence

Death is part of Sifu's progression system rather than a simple setback. The character ages with every revival, becoming more vulnerable while gaining increased damage potential. Shrines provide opportunities to unlock and improve skills, while Focus Attacks can inflict major damage or stun difficult opponents.

Using the Environment

Fights take place in interactive spaces where nearby objects can become weapons or tactical tools. Players can throw items, use furniture to disrupt enemies, and take advantage of ledges and surroundings when facing groups. A detective board tracks progress and helps connect details of the central investigation.

Release Details

Sifu is available in Europe, USA, Asia, and Japan regions, with language options including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
