04 About Souls of Chronos

Souls of Chronos is an action-adventure role-playing game from Astrolabe Games. Set in a world affected by the mysterious Chronos Time phenomenon, it follows Sid and Torii, a Chronos companion, after a devastating event changes their lives.

Their journey leads across a setting shaped by competing factions, hidden motives, and long-buried truths. The story explores companionship, sacrifice, destiny, and the consequences tied to great power.

A world out of time

Chronos Time causes time to flow unpredictably, creating the central mystery of Sid and Torii's travels. Along the way, they meet characters with their own aims and secrets while pursuing answers connected to ancient prophecies and powerful entities.

Tactical party battles

Combat uses a turn-based system built around careful decisions. Players command a party whose members fill different roles and possess distinct skills. Elemental weaknesses, positioning, status effects, and Chronos abilities all contribute to battle strategy, especially against stronger enemies.

Exploration and progression

The game encourages exploration through environments containing hidden routes, treasures, quests, and optional objectives. Conversations with non-player characters provide additional lore and tasks, while skill upgrades, equipment, party setups, and customizable loadouts allow the group to develop in different directions.
