04 About SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION

SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION is a Nintendo Switch puzzle game from Bandai Namco, developed by Dimps Corporatio and released on April 5, 2019. It combines Dragon Ball characters with tactical, card-driven battles.

The story takes place in Hero Town, where the Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game is hugely popular. Players follow Beat, a young player aiming to become a champion, as figures from the game begin appearing in reality and a threat endangers both worlds.

Card-Based Battles

Combat is built around decks containing up to seven character cards. Team composition, character types, card abilities, and energy management all shape the outcome of each match. Players can use hero energy for special attacks and transformations, while timed action phases add button-prompt challenges that can strengthen attacks or defenses.

Build a Hero Team

Cards represent Dragon Ball characters with distinct abilities, transformations, and roles. Creating teams with complementary strengths is important, whether using direct offense, support effects, healing, buffs, or debuffs. Character awakenings can further increase a fighter's potential during battle.

Modes and Customization

An original story mode follows the mystery unfolding across Hero Town and the Super Dragon Ball Heroes universe. Arcade mode revisits arcade missions with dedicated challenges. Players can also create a custom avatar for Hero Town and battles, and online battles allow decks to be tested against other players worldwide.
