The Lara Croft Collection combines Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light with Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Developed and published by Feral Interactive, this Nintendo Switch release blends action, adventure, and puzzle-solving through two artifact-driven expeditions.

Both games present Lara’s adventures from an isometric perspective, with tomb exploration, environmental mechanisms, hidden discoveries, weapon-based combat, and encounters against supernatural enemies. The collection supports solo play as well as cooperative challenges built around character abilities and coordinated puzzle solutions.

Two ancient threats

In Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Lara joins the Mayan warrior Totec to prevent Xolotl from covering the world in eternal darkness. Their journey involves the Mirror of Smoke, hazardous tombs, traps, and mythical creatures. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris moves to Egyptian ruins, where Lara, Carter Bell, Isis, and Horus confront the god Set while seeking to break a dangerous curse.

Puzzles, exploration, and combat

Progress depends on reading the environment and using objects such as switches, platforms, and movable elements. Players can search for concealed areas, artifacts, gem fragments, and upgrades while navigating ancient locations. Combat includes pistols, grenades, special abilities, enemy encounters, and boss fights, encouraging different tactics for different threats.

Character-driven cooperation

Cooperative play emphasizes synchronized actions when puzzles require several characters to operate mechanisms or create paths. Each companion contributes distinct skills, including Totec’s shield and Isis’s staff, which can be used for traversal, puzzle-solving, and battle. Communication and careful use of each character’s abilities can help overcome more demanding encounters.
