The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure continues the Crossbell arc, following Lloyd Bannings and the Special Support Section of the Crossbell Police Department. As neighboring powers Erebonia and Calvard place increasing pressure on Crossbell, the team must confront threats to their city-state's independence.

Lloyd, Elie, Tio, and Randy investigate conspiracies involving mysterious organizations and ancient artifacts. Their work takes them through a politically charged conflict in which revelations and personal sacrifices could reshape Crossbell's future.

Tactical Role-Playing Battles

Combat uses a turn-based system built around party abilities, tactical positioning, and enemy patterns. Characters can use Arts, character-specific skills, and powerful S-Crafts, while the Burst system can provide temporary stat benefits and an advantage in turn order during crucial encounters.

Orbment Customization

The Orbment system lets players tailor party members with elemental quartz. These setups can grant Arts and improve statistics, allowing different character roles and strategies. Adjusting equipment, party composition, and Orbment combinations is important when preparing for difficult dungeons and boss battles.

Crossbell Activities

Crossbell City and its surrounding areas offer exploration beyond the main investigation. Side quests, NPC interactions, hidden items, fishing, cooking, and Bond events provide additional activities and develop the setting and its characters.
