The Stretchers is a Nintendo Switch puzzle game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Nintendo. Released on November 8, 2019, it mixes rescue missions, physical comedy, and object-based challenges.

Players take control of paramedics Ted and Ben as they respond to a crisis caused by Captain Brains. His Dizziness ailment has left citizens known as Dummies stranded in unusual conditions, and each rescue requires getting them safely to an ambulance.

Stretcher-Based Rescue Puzzles

The central task is to place Dummies on a stretcher and carry them through hazardous, awkward, and puzzle-filled environments. Movement, carrying, and interactions with objects are governed by physics, so narrow routes, slopes, barriers, and environmental hazards can turn a simple transport job into a chaotic challenge.

Solo or Local Cooperation

Ted and Ben can be controlled together by one player or by two players in local co-op. Successful rescues depend on coordinating the paramedics while moving the stretcher, clearing obstacles, and making use of tools or objects found around each level.

Ambulance Missions and Varied Locations

After reaching a Dummy, the rescue continues with ambulance driving segments that also use the game's physics-focused approach. Missions take place across different environments, including city areas and mountainous terrain, with distinct layouts, rescue situations, timed challenges, and slapstick animation.
