The Survivalists is an indie survival adventure from Team17, released for Nintendo Switch on October 09, 2020. After a shipwreck leaves you on a mysterious island, survival depends on gathering materials, making useful equipment, and adapting to an unfamiliar environment.

Exploration and discovery drive the experience as you search procedurally generated islands, encounter ruins and treasures, and uncover hints about those who may have lived there before. The journey centers on building a life amid wildlife, hostile threats, and the island's unanswered secrets.

Craft, build, and endure

Resources such as wood, stone, and food can be collected to create tools, weapons, shelter, and building pieces. Managing hunger, thirst, and stamina is part of staying productive, while nighttime brings additional danger from shadowy enemies. Players can construct bases and contraptions while preparing for exploration beyond their first camp.

Monkey helpers

A defining feature is the ability to befriend and train monkeys. These companions can learn jobs including gathering resources and helping defend the camp, making it possible to automate some routine work. Choosing tasks for monkey helpers lets players spend more time crafting, building, or venturing into new areas.
