Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a 2D fighting game set in Fœnum, a land inhabited by herbivore species. A prophecy warns of the return of the Devourers, ancient carnivorous threats, and champions from different species are brought together for a ritual intended to protect their home.

The game combines charming four-legged fighters with fast, strategic combat. Each character has an individual style, abilities, and reasons for joining the larger struggle, while battles reward precise movement, quick reactions, and thoughtful use of attacks.

Strategic Animal Combat

Matches feature combos, air juggles, special attacks, ground dashes, air dashes, and character-specific movement options. The Magic system adds another resource to manage, offering powerful attacks and mobility choices. Accessible controls help newcomers begin fighting, while the combat system provides room to develop advanced combo routes and matchup knowledge.

Story and Modes

Story Mode follows the champions as they prepare to face the danger threatening Fœnum. Outside its episodic adventure, players can take part in arcade-style fights and use pixel-art lobbies to socialize, issue challenges, and find casual matches.

Nintendo Switch Play

Released for Nintendo Switch on October 18, 2022, Them’s Fightin’ Herds supports TV, Tabletop, and Handheld play. It offers single-system and online multiplayer for one or two players, with language options including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
