Thief Simulator is a simulation and strategy game developed by Noble Muffins and published by Forever Entertainment. Released on May 16, 2019, it places players in the role of an aspiring burglar working toward increasingly valuable jobs.

Progress centers on studying properties, identifying weaknesses in security, and carrying out thefts without attracting attention. Successful jobs build a reputation, open new districts and targets, and provide funds for improved equipment.

Plan Every Break-In

Observation is central to each job. Players can watch residents' routines, monitor patrol routes, and look for cameras, alarms, and possible entry points before making a move. Once inside, quiet movement, lockpicking, alarm disabling, and careful timing are essential for staying unseen.

Tools, Skills, and Loot

A range of equipment supports different approaches, including lockpicks, crowbars, glass cutters, hacking devices, binoculars, flashlights, and maps. Stolen valuables can be sold for profit, while skill points can be invested in areas such as stealth, lockpicking, and hacking. Better tools and abilities help prepare for more demanding targets.

Build a Criminal Operation

Between heists, players manage a hideout for storing equipment and planning future work. The game also includes vehicle theft, with hotwiring providing opportunities for quick escapes and larger hauls. If an alarm is raised or a resident spots the player, avoiding police becomes part of the challenge.
