Tokyo Xanadu eX+ follows Kou Tokisaka, a high school student in Morimiya City whose ordinary routine changes after he encounters transfer student Asuka Hiiragi. Their meeting leads Kou to the Eclipse, a sinister alternate dimension inhabited by creatures known as Horrors.

As threats from the Eclipse close in on the city, Kou joins other Soul Device users to investigate its mysteries. The adventure balances school life and relationships with dangerous expeditions into shadowy dungeons.

Action RPG battles

Combat takes place in real time, with players controlling characters who use distinct weapons, skills, and elemental attacks. Enemy weaknesses encourage switching approaches and choosing party members suited to each encounter. Defensive moves, skill combinations, equipment, armor, and accessories all contribute to surviving battles against Horrors.

Morimiya and the Eclipse

Outside the dungeons, Morimiya City provides opportunities to meet residents, pursue optional quests, and uncover useful items. Within the Eclipse, the group explores labyrinthine areas with environmental challenges, puzzles, and bosses while investigating the forces behind the dimension.

Bonds and expanded stories

Bonding Events develop Kou’s connections with classmates and allies, opening character-focused scenes as well as abilities and combat benefits. The eX+ edition adds an After Story set after the main narrative and Side Stories that further explore supporting characters. Boss Rush and Time Attack modes offer additional challenges after the main adventure.
