Torchlight III is a role-playing game developed by Echtra Games and published by Perfect World for Nintendo Switch. Set a century after Torchlight II, it returns to Novastraia as the frontier faces an invasion by the Netherim and their allies.

Players begin amid goblin-filled woodland areas before travelling across regions with their own enemies, bosses, characters, and lore. The campaign centers on resisting the invasion, protecting the frontier, and uncovering the larger danger behind the conflict.

Heroes and Relics

Choose between four hero classes: Dusk Mage, Forged, Railmaster, and Sharpshooter. Each class offers its own skills and approach to battle, while Relics provide an additional specialization for shaping a character build. Equipment, armor, weapons, and set items are collected as players develop their preferred abilities.

Combat and Exploration

The game uses real-time hack-and-slash combat against groups of monsters and major bosses. Adventures move through environments including forests and ancient ruins, with procedurally generated dungeons adding variety to exploration. Fazeer’s Dun’djinn challenges provide further encounters and rewards.

Forts and Companions

A personal fort can be built and decorated with functional structures that grant different benefits. Pets accompany heroes in combat, can carry items, and offer helpful buffs. Torchlight III can be played alone or with friends through online co-op.
