Trident’s Tale is an action-adventure game set beneath the sea. Players follow Finn, a young merman whose quiet home is endangered by a spreading darkness linked to the Abyssal Trench.

Guided by prophecies surrounding the Trident of Aethel, Finn journeys through an ocean world of ruins, currents, sea creatures, and remnants of a lost civilization. His search gradually reveals details about his lineage and the threat facing the kingdom.

A quest beneath the waves

Finn’s mission centers on recovering the legendary trident, an artifact said to restore balance to the ocean. Along the way, he meets characters including sea turtles and dolphins, uncovers ancient lore, and pieces together maps and riddles left behind by earlier heroes. The journey ultimately leads toward the Kraken, a malevolent force released by an old spell.

Exploration and puzzles

The game combines underwater exploration with environmental challenges. Finn travels from bright shallow waters to deeper regions, searching ancient ruins, hidden grottoes, and unexplored paths. Ancient gates, symbols, currents, and riddles form part of the puzzle-solving, while optional activities and discoveries provide further lore and rewards.

Combat and progression

Combat uses Finn’s merman abilities and tools against ocean-dwelling foes, with larger enemies calling for careful timing and awareness of attack patterns.
