UDO: Unidentified Drilling Object is an adventure, arcade, and platformer game from Flux Games. Set in 2342, it follows Project Deep Dive, a mission created as Earth faces a severe shortage of resources.

Players pilot the UDO, an experimental drilling vehicle sent beneath the surface of Xylos Prime. What begins as a search for vital minerals leads into increasingly dangerous depths filled with unusual energy readings, ancient structures, and signs of a lost civilization.

Drilling into Xylos Prime

The central journey takes place across subterranean areas with different conditions and hazards. Players carve routes through geological layers, scan for useful materials and hidden paths, and search side caverns for rare finds. Deeper locations reveal more of the planet's past while presenting tougher obstacles.

Resources and upgrades

Minerals, gases, crystals, and artifacts support continued expeditions. Collected resources can be used to improve the UDO's drilling strength, shielding, propulsion, energy efficiency, and scanning functions. Small temporary outposts provide opportunities to refuel and repair during longer trips underground.

Hazards below the surface

Exploration is not limited to drilling. Crystalline lifeforms, automated defense systems, and environmental dangers can block progress, requiring careful movement, energy management, and combat awareness. Ancient mechanisms and environmental puzzles also stand between the UDO and the deepest discoveries.
