Welcome Kokuri-san is an adventure and simulation game from CyberStep, released for Nintendo Switch on May 25, 2023. It follows a young investigator who arrives in an isolated village troubled by strange events and rumors surrounding the spirit known as Kokuri-san.

The investigation leads through a setting shaped by old rituals, fragmented legends, and an enduring curse. As reality and the supernatural begin to overlap, the player must uncover what lies behind the village’s unsettling history.

Investigation and exploration

Progress centers on exploring locations such as forests and deteriorating shrines, examining objects, finding documents, and listening for ghostly traces. Environmental details, written clues, and conversations with both living and spectral characters help reveal the larger mystery.

Puzzles and rituals

Observation and deduction are central to the game’s challenges. Hidden objects, notes, artifacts, and inventory items can provide answers to environmental puzzles, while spiritual rituals may expose new routes or influence events.
