04 About Wuppo: Definitive Edition

Wuppo: Definitive Edition is a 2D action-adventure from Knuist and Perzik, released for Nintendo Switch in 2019. It combines platforming, exploration, puzzles, and light combat in a hand-drawn world.

Players follow a Wum forced out of the Wumhouse Hotel and sent on a search for a new place to live. The journey leads through interconnected locations, where unusual inhabitants, hidden routes, and clues gradually reveal more about the world.

Explore a whimsical world

The adventure moves between varied environments, including cities and quieter landscapes. Exploration is central to progression, with secrets, lore entries, useful items, and previously unreachable paths waiting throughout the world.

Puzzles and light combat

Challenges mix observation-based puzzles, environmental hazards, and encounters with strange creatures. Items and the surroundings can be used in different ways, while a projectile weapon supports combat and experimentation.

Characters, items, and activities

A diverse cast of NPCs offers dialogue, quests, hints, and their own personalities. Players can collect currency and items, improve equipment, gain abilities, and encounter mini-games and optional challenges during the search for a home.
