Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is a Nintendo Switch strategy game developed by Other Ocean Interactive and published by Konami. It brings together card battles and story material from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise, from Duel Monsters through VRAINS.

Players construct decks from a card pool of more than 10,000 cards and duel under the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game rules. Matches revolve around monster summons, spells, traps, card effects, and careful use of available zones.

Anime story duels

The game revisits major anime storylines and their defining battles. Players can take the roles of protagonists including Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki, and Yusei Fudo, while some scenarios also present the opposing villain perspective. These duels offer a way to approach familiar matchups from different sides.

Deck building and Link Monsters

Deck construction supports aggressive, defensive, and combo-driven approaches, with archetypes and card interactions shaping each strategy. Link Monsters add further tactical decisions through their arrows, placement, and summoning possibilities, making positioning an important part of modern duels.

More ways to duel

Alongside the story content, Challenger Duels provide numerous single battles against AI opponents. Battle Pack Draft Play uses randomly opened cards for sealed-pack duels, while card sleeves, playmats, and character avatars allow players to personalize the presentation of their matches. The game supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese.
